After going through the decision making process of letting go of some items and keeping others, start thinking about how you will purchase and acquire things moving forward.
Let go of each item with gratitude and thank it for being in your life and space.
If this item wasn't much used or cared for, let it serve as a lesson for you. In the future, buy new items consciously and be sure of why you are bringing it into your life.
Think about the reasons why your are keeping the items that are staying with you. How do you want to use it and enjoy it? Where will you place it in your home? How will you care for this item and maintain its cleanliness and condition?
Personally, decluttering has changed the way I purchase things. Previously, I would sometimes buy things impulsively or because they were on sale. Now, I'm think deeply before buying something because I don't want it to end up becoming clutter in a few years time. I also unsubscribed from shopping newsletters and only buy something when the need for it comes up instead of browsing online shops without a clear purpose.
